Company History

Rural Reconstruction Foundation (RRF) is non governmental, non-profit, non-political and non-sectarian voluntary development organisation that was established in March 1982. It aims to promote the social and economic emancipation of underprivileged people, in Bangladesh.

Mission
RRF is committed to the comprehensive development of underprivileged women, men, young people and children leading to a civil society that respects full democracy, liberty, equality, justice, peace and solidarity.

Goal
To create and raise awareness of existing socio-economic realities and the root causes of poverty to enable targeted beneficiaries to use increased self-reliance climb out of poverty.

Programme Participants
Landless peasents, marginal farmers, destitute women and men, the youth and children, and the ultra- poor.

Holistic
RRF is Strongly committed to a holistic approach to its work. This helps to ensure the genuine development of communities through people’s active participation in the process of planning, decision making and implemention.

RRF has by choice adopted a non-directive participatory approach to its development work

RRF Training & Resource Centre (TARC) was established in 1991 to equip the rural poor with the skills they need to earn a better living. It also conducts action research that contributes to community advancement.

The centre is used also for training of RRF staff and programme beneficiaries, and is avavailable for other national and international organisations, NGOs, government anad private companies.

Human Resources
RRF maintains a high quality standard of training. There are both in-house nad out- sourced professional trainers to conduct training.

Location
The training and resource centre is situated on a 6.5 acre campus in Ramnagor village, around 7 km east of Jashore town, on the Jashore- Khulna highway, It is a 15-30 minute dirve from the Jashore bus terminal, train station or airport.

The venue is attractively surrounded by greenery, flower gardens and offers a calm and quiet learning environment.
